Crete Sasquatch robot 656A was one of
44 teams competing at The Heartland Regional Championship Robotics Tournament.

We competed in 9 of 99 matches, winning 5. Crete landed in 29th place in the State Tournament.

Qualifying round #99,  Crete and their alliance team won by 3 points. It was an intense match because our alliance team's bot tipped over. 656A spent precious seconds of the game successfully lifting their teammates bot back to an upright position.

By this time of the season, so many robotic teams have learned that they could push, shove and block opposing team bots. Ref's have been inconsistent with enforcing rules this year due to the newly aggressive defensive play factor. Being disqualified to some is an honor and viewed as heroic.

Crete has not been in the habit of playing bumper cars with other robots. Sasquatch 656A has completed offensively throughout the season and kept a professional and respectful demeanor.

Crete's robot, Sasquatch 656A was awarded the tournament's Sportsmanship Award. Each student was gifted a Raspberry Pi3 project motherboard. The AFCEA Perseverance Award, for overcoming obstacles with determination, dignity and collaboration. This award included $100 to be used towards supplies or tournament fees.

We should all be very proud of Crete Robotics.
