On October 19-22, 2016 five Crete FFA members and advisor Marc Wittstruck traveled to Indianapolis, IN to participate in the 89th National FFA Convention.  The convention had almost 63,000 registered members and guests, making it the largest youth convention in the U.S.  At the convention members got to hear talented speakers such as Diana Nyad (first to swim 110 miles from Cuba to Florida), Jason Brown (ex-NFL St. Louis Ram now farmer in North Carolina giving all the proceeds to the needy) and motivational speaker Colin Ryan.

Members also got to watch all the award presentations, National FFA Officer, retiring addresses, National FFA Band, Chorus, and Talent, attend a huge Career Show, FFA Shopping Mall, and Food Court.  While in Indy, Crete FFA members got to tour a Dallara Indy Car factory and ride in an Indy car, tour the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Museum, and got the "Crete FFA Chapter" name printed in the racing catalog and have their pictures taken in the winner's circle at the Indiana Downs horse race track.  The group stayed very busy as you can see.

They came back to Nebraska and delivered a report to the Crete FFA Alumni Chapter meeting and were awarded each $100 from the Alumni for their trip expenses.
