On Tuesday March 7th, 20 Crete FFA members and advisor Marc Wittstruck traveled to Southeast Community College in Beatrice for the annual District 5 Career Development Events competition. Teams included welding, natural resources, meats evaluation, horticulture, and livestock management. The Horticulture team of Bailey Donner, Katelyn Hoesche, Jayden Schorn, and Cassidy Skillett qualified for state competition in Lincoln in April.
After competing in the contests, the group enjoyed a Valentino's buffet and then visited Butler Ag Equipment in Pickrell, NE. The FFA members got to see how parts are ordered, stocked, and sold; how machinery was repaired, and everything about the Agriculture Machinery Sales Industry. Pictured here is the group of Crete FFA members in the Butler Ag Equipment showroom with some of the new machinery they sell.
