The Crete Middle School Quiz Bowl team competed in the Ninth Annual Nebraska Math and Science Quiz Bowl held at Wayne State College on Saturday, Jan. 28th. The goal of the Science Bowl is to encourage students to excel in science and math. The team participated in three rounds in the morning that determined their placement in brackets for the afternoon competition. They were placed in the consolation bracket and advanced all the way to the final match of the afternoon. The team consists of seventh graders and one eighth grader. "WOW, Look at all these new books!" "Cool book - I want that one!" These are a few comments that can be heard at the Crete Elementary Library. Thanks to Runza, the library was able to purchase many new titles to add to our collection. Runza sponsored "Great Books for Great Kids" and the proceeds were donated to our library.
