What is full of lions, tigers, bears, and childhood memories? That's right, the zoo. The students in the AP Biology class taught by Mr. Mike Coe were able to witness the sights of the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and the Henry Doorly Zoo on the class' annual trip.
After leaving Crete at 7 a.m., the students first arrived at UNMC. There, they were introduced to leading pathologist Mr. David Muirhead and pathologist assistant Mr. Travis Rinehard who engaged students with the exciting details of becoming a pathologist and allowed them to interact with parts of real human . . .

On February 1st, English I students and sponsors traveled to Omaha’s beautiful Holland Performing Arts Center where we enjoyed a thrilling performance of “West Side Story Meets Romeo and Juliet”. A condensed version of Romeo and Juliet was performed by the Nebraska Shakespeare Foundation actors, and it was coupled with the Omaha Symphony’s performance of Leonard Bernstein’s moving West Side Story score that highlighted Shakespeare’s text. The 50 minute performance was action packed and captured the dramatic essence of this tragedy.
