Third Graders Receive Personal Dictionaries
October 28, 2009
Last week, the third graders had surprise visitors and they came bearing gifts! The Rotary Club of Crete came to visit third grade and brought each student, (all 118 of them) their own personal dictionaries. The students were very excited and put their name inside the front cover immediately.
Alec Engebretson of Doane College, and Stephanie Leibhart of WalMart were just two of the visitors. Alec told the children that the Rotary Club believes that all children should have their own personal dictionary and this is a project they take on every year. The students and staff of Crete Elementary are very grateful for their generosity. Thank you Rotary Club members!
