Over 1500 Students on the First Day of School

Over 1500 students entered the doors of Crete Public Schools on the first day of school. One of the highlights included 105 new kindergarten students. The children, along with their mothers and fathers, were very excited as the first bell rang. Several community volunteers helped on the playground before school started.
The middle and high schools also welcomed enthusiastic students. Some were entering the Crete Schools for the first time. According to Tim Conway, High School Principal, and Kim Jacobson, Middle School Principal it was a "great start". Students became acquainted with their schedules and connected with their new teachers.
Open house has been held at several of our schools with an outstanding attendance of parents and patrons. Please feel encouraged to stop in and visit and never hesitate to call if a question arises.
