Ft. Jackson Responds with Appreciation

TeamMates recently promoted the Valentines for Veterans project, where 5^th through 12^th grade students wrote an encouraging note to our troops. Over 1,200 valentine notes were sent to Ft. Jackson, South Carolina to be distributed to various areas on the base.

Posters are displayed in 5^th grade and the Middle School containing pictures of TeamMates Coordinator Mrs. White’s visit to Ft. Jackson, along with pictures taken when the valentines were distributed.

Pictured are a few of the over 1,200 soldiers and sailors from Ft. Jackson, SC who received Valentine greetings from Crete School students and staff.

Those at Ft. Jackson were absolutely thrilled with the generosity of Crete students and staff in remembering their servicemen/women.

This is the fourth year TeamMates has participated in Valentines for Veterans, providing the opportunity for students to participate in a valuable community service.
